What is Prayer Ministry​

​​Prayer Ministry is a Christian community praying for and with each other, either in person or online in a prayer group. It is more than just intercession. My group is open to people of all faiths. There is no physical touch unlike 30 years ago when one could lay hands on a person's head or shoulders. Modern society, codes of ethics and the liability insurance industry ban touch.

Structure: There are a minimum of 2 people or a group, praying for an individual person who has a specific personal request for healing in a particular area of their life. One member of the prayer team will be actively praying both out loud and silently while the second person on the prayer team and rest of the group is observing the person being prayed for. Both members of the prayer team are listening to the person with one ear and God with the other ear.

Sometimes what a person asks for or requests prayer for, is not the real thing that needs healing. The observers are there to listen to and discern what God is want the prayer team to pray about or into. What the person doing the praying says has nothing to do with their own thoughts, but only what God is giving them words of knowledge to say. Prayer ministry teams receive training from Christian Healing Ministries, The School of Healing Prayer in Toronto, Unbound, or other recognized schools.
